Whodapet's mission is to selectively allow easy access to information about pets, pet owners, and pet ownership to individuals and organizations who need the information to enforce the law, protect the public, and safeguard pets and pet owners.
Report an Incident
If you or anyone you know has been the victim of an incident involving a domestic or wild animal, or if you are aware of any incidents involving animals or animal abuse, please report them. Your report will be followed up by the appropriate authorities, who may contact you for additional information.
The information you provide will be kept confidential, except where disclosure is required by law. Similarly, your name and contact information will only be shared with individuals involved in the investigation, unless otherwise required by law.

Organizations can easily add stray pets that come into their care to the Whodapet STRAY PET page. Owners can search for stray or lost pets, easily identifying what organization is currently caring for their pet.

REGISTERED PETS
Information about pets registered with Whodapet is shared in a judicious manner between jurisdictions, organizations, and in the case of lost pets, with the public.
Information Sharing:
- Improves compliance with registration and vaccination requirements
- Improves safety for both pets and the public
- Improves efficiency of staff who are tasked with tracking and caring for pets
- Increases revenue for the jurisdictions where pets reside
PEOPLE
Whodapet tracks information about both Pets and People. Information on people includes everything from dog bite information to reports of abuse and neglect. The information about PEOPLE is not restricted to just owners. A person record could for example contain information about a victim of a dog bite, a person convicted of crimes against animals, and various types of complaintants.
JURISDICTIONS
In Whodapet a jurisdiction can be anything from an apartment complex to a county or township, or even a state. Jurisdictions can overlap or be layered and each jurisdiction maintains control over rules governing pets within their organization.
